Senior Scientist- Chemistry
Matthew Halloran is responsible for the development and scale-up of the precursors to Soleic materials. Prior to joining Soleic, he worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC San Diego working on the development of renewable monomers via flow chemistry. Matthew received his Ph.D. from McGill University in Chemical Engineering, during which he primarily developed renewable additives for polymer blends. Matthew also holds an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from McGill University.
When I'm not in the lab you can find me outdoors or hanging out with friends.
I'd love to see Soleic® materials adopted into sporting goods and/or outdoor recreational equipment.
In the future, I would like to see sustainable materials become the standard, and for plastic pollution to be overcome by the introduction and acceptance of sustainable alternatives.
