San Diego – September 18, 2024 – Algenesis Labs is pleased to support Shoreline

Community Services by providing some of our Blueview sustainable sneakers featuring

our Soleic® microplastic-free foams. We are happy to contribute to this local

organization’s efforts to assist individuals and families in need.

Shoreline Community Services, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting those in the Central

Beach Area of San Diego, will distribute the shoes to local residents facing economic

hardships. Our sustainable sneakers are good for the planet, and are exceptionally

comfortable, and we are happy to provide these to this group of friends and neighbors

who might not otherwise be able to afford new shoes.

Stephen Mayfield, CEO of Algenesis Labs, shared, “We are happy to help Shoreline

Community Services, even in this small way, so that they can support our neighbors in

need here in San Diego.”

The Blueview shoes are made from plant-based materials that are 100% biodegradable

and microplastic-free, aligning with our commitment to sustainability. Caryn Blanton,

Executive Director of Shoreline Community Services, expressed gratitude, stating,

“Shoes are one of the most requested items at our drop-in resource center, The

Compass Station. Although our focus is to connect people to the services they need to

get off the street, being able to provide essential items to get by each day is also

incredibly important. This is a perfect example of our model to engage our community in

creative ways to support our work. We need shoes – Algenesis Labs has shoes. They

are coming through in a significant way that is meaningful to all of us!”
